Beginning with an examination of how Israeli commentators reacted to the news of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s planned visit to Beijing, we then shift to the Israeli media perspective on China’s relations with Hamas and Iran, its possible role as a mediator, and, finally, the foreseeable trends in Sino-Israeli relations.
[IT] L’insieme delle conoscenze, esperienze e competenze utili per comprendere la Cina di oggi è più articolato e complesso che mai. Oltre alle auspicabili competenze in ambito linguistico, storico e letterario necessarie per navigare i codici espressivi e di pensiero culturalmente orientati dalla tradizione cinese, sembra più che mai indispensabile saperle coniugare o temperare con una formazione in campi disciplinari diversi, in primis quelli delle scienze sociali: scienza politica, sociologia, economia, antropologia, diritto.
Chinese experts had differing opinions on Iran’s possible and actual involvement in the conflict. They also expressed concerns that their much hoped for process of regional stabilization might have been derailed. Now, as Iran faces another diplomatic crossroad, we turn our attention to recent statements from the Iranian press, especially regarding China’s stance and potential role in the conflict.
In this issue of the ChinaMed Observer, we take stock of Sino-Moroccan relations as the two countries prepare to commemorate the 65th anniversary of their diplomatic ties this November 1. We examine recent trends in Moroccan press coverage of economic engagement with China, Chinese foreign policy and Morocco’s alleged application to join the BRICS.
