Ripensare la teoria: prospettive per una riconfigurazione degli studi di cinema in Cina attraverso la piattaforma CCKS

This article aims to shed light on CCKS – Chinese Cinema Knowledge System (Zhongguo dianying zhishi tixi pingtai 中国电影知识体系平台), an open-source platform for the study of Chinese cinema developed by Peking University and implemented with artificial intelligence. This study is based on the article “Reconstructing Film Studies: Interdisciplinary Integration of Artificial Intelligence and Cinematic Thinking” by Li Daoxin, professor emeritus of Cinema Studies at Peking University and founder of the platform. The study contains also notes and reflections from a semi-structured interview that the author had with prof. Li to have a broader understanding of the conceptual framework and the methodological approach behind the platform.
