Comparing Peace Processes

Routledge Studies in Peace and Conflict Resolution (April 2019)

“Even if the Nationwide Ceasefire Agreement achieved in 2015 is not as ‘nationwide’ as the name suggests, its scope is unequalled in the history of independent Myanmar. However, it remains to be seen if the peace process will be able to overcome the stall in which it is currently lingering”.

Stefano Ruzza (T.wai & University of Torino) is the author of the chapter “Myanmar” in the first edition of “Comparing Peace Processes“, a comparative survey of 18 contemporary peace processes conducted by leading international scholars and edited by Alpaslan Özerdem and Roger Mac Ginty.
