New technologies in the post-covid world

The Holy See’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and the Vatican COVID-19 Commission are hosting the international conference “Promoting Integral Human Development and Peace in the Digital Age. New technologies in the post-covid world”, with the support of the Pontifical Council for Culture and in collaboration with the Torino World Affairs Institute, the Diplo Foundation, the Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies at the Catholic University of America, and Pax Christi International.

Francesco Silvestri (T.wai and TOChina Hub) will moderate the concluding roundtable of the Conference “Promoting Integral Human Development and Peace in the Digital Age. New technologies in the post-covid world”. The event is hosted by the Holy See’s Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and the Vatican COVID-19 Commission with the support of the Pontifical Council for Culture and in collaboration with the Torino World Affairs Institute, Diplo Foundation, the Institute for Policy Research and Catholic Studies at the Catholic University of America, and Pax Christi International. The conference objective is contributing, through theoretical reflections and case studies, to the global dialogue on the role of new technologies in the postpandemic era.

The conference will be opened by the remarks of H.E. Cardinal Peter K.A. Turkson, Prefect of the Dicastery for Promoting Integral Human Development and Msgr. Paul Tighe, Secretary, Pontifical Council for Culture. Sister Alessandra Smerilli, Ad-Interim Secretary of the DPIHD and Apostolic Delegate to Vatican COVID-19 Commission will offer her concluding remarks.
