This research explores representations of the Chinese diaspora in Italy and Germany through contemporary literature. In Italy, novels like Cuore di seta and Petali di orchidea address themes of cultural identity, integration, and transnational memories. The research also examines the German context, focusing on literary works such as Die chinesische Delegation by Lingyuan Luo, Die Tochter der Partei by Chun Zhou, and Lotosfüße: Gedichte by Pei Xu, which reflect the integration challenges faced by the Chinese diaspora and explore questions of memory, displacement, and cultural negotiation. Adopting a comparative approach and conducting close textual analysis, this study examines how these cultural productions construct narratives of belonging and alienation, shape public discourse and contribute to identity formation among Chinese communities in Europe, offering new perspectives on migration and cultural exchange.
